Classical Music Recording

MEGTEK have a wealth of experience in high quality classical and choral music recording. Whilst studying Chemistry at Oxford in the 1990s, managing director Richard Mills pursued music recording as a hobby, frequently making recordings of student concerts and recitals. Richard has been actively involved with the Welsh music charity Musica Rediviva since late 1994, where he has helped record and archive their annual series of concerts. Whilst living in Wiltshire, Richard also made recordings of Frome Symphony, in which he performed as a flautist.

MEGTEK are now delighted to offer high-fidelity digital recording, ideally suited to orchestras, choirs, chamber music groups and solo musicians. Whether a recording of a live performance or a dedicated recording session, MEGTEK are able to capture every nuance of the music, with CD-quality sound that will delight the audio connoisseur.

We can also offer a professional Digital Editing service, where we take the master recording (which could be a live recording of a concert or recital, or a recording session of several different "takes") and transform it into a polished-sounding track list suitable for burning onto CD - getting rid of the gaps at the start and end of the music, and even joining parts of different takes together into a seamless performance - perfect for when you have just made the performance of a lifetime apart from one silly little mistake.
